My Wiccan Path

The upbringing I got from my parents was with a lot of involvement in Nature and no religion based at all.

I loved, and still do, dance, folklore and mythology, tales of witches. Created ceremonies with the children and friends in my neighbourhood. Thought everybody else felt the same, that Nature had a life form! It came as a surprise that it was not the case! In year 5 we did a project about Native Americans, I was happy to learn that we felt similar. But where to find a “Indian”, who could teach me? I left it at that, and became interested in a variety of cultures and religions as Hinduism, Yoga and Buddhism, Celtic folk music , symbolism in fairy-tales and African and Egyptian magic.

Then I came across a book about witchcraft when I was about 17 years. Working in a Spiritual Centre, met the late Sun-Bear who gave me his blessings and said I would find it in the Western Mysteries. At a lunch break I read a interview with a Modern witch Elsy Kloeg, wrote to her and started my intensive study with others, we all became friends for life. I was the youngest witch at that time in the Netherlands to receive training, which was every week. It felt like all pieces of the puzzle came together!

Full Moon 17 August 1989 I got my Initiation by the strict and respected High Priestess Elsy Kloeg and High Priest Kobus v Doorne ,who themselves were Initiated by Alex and Maxime Sanders. And followed up with my further degrees in this way. So I started my own Coven, Albion, in The Hague at Mabon, The Autumn Equinox 1993 until Samhain 2000. We hosted a heksen-cafe( pubmoot)in the city centre from 1995. Have been in the media a few times. Worked with many wonderful witches and shamans along the way like Maxine, Nimue and Melkor, Greencraft Wicca, and the Farrars/Bone, Crowleys, Paddy Slate, Marian and Dick Green, Covens in the USA, and Norway, a Moroccan witch. Too many too name, and sure many more to come!

Because there was no one available or willing to proceed the existing coven in The Hague, the coven was ritually dissolved at Yule 2000, with the acknowledgement and approval of all the members. The members have chosen to follow their own path.

I went to live in England, to the Ancient Isle of Avalon, and was asked to work with a Romany Witchcraft Circle, and initiated in the Egyptian Temple of Sekhmet. With High Priest Victa, and old friend of Alex! They are both in the Summerlands now, Bless them. Later I've been also initiated by Bobcat as Priestess of Avebury.

Alex Sanders In Glastonbury there were several people who wanted to give their children a different viewpoint in life, so I've set up a Pagan Circle for families for a year and a day, to understand the witchcraft cycle. We have had very creative celebrations!

Worked with my Glastonbury Coven The Wylde Hunt, and had lovely rituals together with Raven Circle, Willow and Drew.

At the present I'm teaching and celebrating the craft in the Alexandrian way, but connect with the spirit of the lands where I travel too. Forming a Coven in Brighton, helping a new Coven in Czechia.

Became the DM and youth officer in this area for the Pagan Federation, and guiding teenagers to find their way in the witchcraft life-style, as I once started myself.
